WELCOME TO NEW ELDORADO!
A new urban agglomeration built right in the heart of the Peruvian jungle:
a city shaped like a circle, in whose interior the forest is "violated" by a
strip mine from which the garimpeiros extract gold. New Eldorado is in the hands
of the Company that bears the same name and exerts the power of life and death
over its workers. The law is also administered by the Company through a private
militia. One of the people who has "enlisted" among these police is Esse-Esse,
who's come over from sleepy Manaus to earn a bit of easy money. Too bad that all
he gets is a load of trouble! When Mister No lands in the city with his Piper,
he finds a nasty surprise awaiting him: his friend, who had written to him
asking Mr. No to join him, has mysteriously disappeared. What unpleasant truth
had Esse-Esse uncovered? And who can have an interest in "eliminating" him? His
police colleagues? The smugglers who are plotting to purloin the gold from the
mine? One or other of the workers? The Company itself? Mister No finds himself
having to unravel an intricate plot where every character has something to hide.
And the unexpected solution doesn't come until the end of the 188 pages that
compose a hair-raising story written by Luigi Mignacco with artwork by the
artist Roberto Diso, a story that will accompany you on two months of great
